Hello
I’m Mirella Addante and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I’ve worked in the training and development space for over 20 years. I’ve done everything from starting a new training department, to managing trainers, to developing e-learning courses.

This last role is where I want my career focus to be. Working as an Instructional Designer, delivering impactful training to help employees in your company better use the tools at their disposal and enhance their skillset.

Higher performing employees will add to your company’s bottom line. That’s where I can help. I’ll work with your company’s experts to decipher the right content to maximize engagement.
My Story
I traveled after college and spent 6 months backpacking solo in Fiji and Australia. A few years later, I moved to the U.S. and began working on my MBA. As a student, I worked as a consultant for the Business Development Center where I actively helped small businesses write business plans and set them on the path to success. I started training my clients on QuickBooks, then taught a small business management class to college seniors. I loved this work because it had a tangible, positive impact on my community.

After my move to the Washington DC area, I started working as a Training Manager, managing the learning for the staff at the American Red Cross on their new financial system. There, it was all about project management and working on a big team. As we looked for ways to save money on travel for in-person training delivery, I added e-learning and webinars to our training offerings.

From there, I used my experience with teaching adults and developing training materials to transition to instructional design where I could sink my teeth into developing courses that adults find relevant, and easy to learn. I've been using the latest tools to develop beautiful instructional videos and engaging courses. I now do my best work from Florida where I spend time walking my dog on the beach, playing pickleball, scuba diving and I also get away from the warm weather to ski every year.
